Fluorescence Imaging
Mahatma Gandhi Cancer Hospital & Research Institute is the first hospital in the state of Andhra Pradesh to introduce 4K Fluorescence intraoperative noninvasive real-time imaging technology with both open and MIS options designed for brilliant visualization of blood flow, and lymphatic flow useful across multiple specialties. This technology is useful in Plastic & Reconstructive microvascular surgery, gastrointestinal surgical procedures, and lymphatic surgeries related to Oncology (sentinel node biopsy).
SENTINEL NODE BIOPSY
Sentinel lymph node identifications and intra-operative assessment results in the avoidance of unnecessary lymphadenectomy in early-stage low-risk patients and thus minimizes the short-term and long-term morbidities associated with traditional elective lymphadectomies in case of Breast Cancers, Head & Neck Cancers, Penile Cancers, Vulval Cancers, Uterine Cancers.
