Dr. B. Chandrasekhar is a highly experienced Senior Hematologist, Hemato-Oncologist, and one of the pioneering Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Physicians in Andhra Pradesh. With over 12 years of specialized expertise, he has been instrumental in establishing advanced Hemato-Oncology and BMT services in Visakhapatnam.
He pursued his medical and hematology training at some of India’s most prestigious institutions, including Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) Hyderabad, CMC Vellore, Narayana Hrudayalaya, and the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi.
Dr. Chandrasekhar manages both benign (non-cancerous) and malignant (cancerous) blood disorders with precision and compassionate care. He is an expert in performing Allogeneic and Autologous Bone Marrow Transplants for a wide range of life-threatening blood-related conditions.
He performed the first-ever Allogeneic Stem Cell/Bone Marrow Transplantation in the state and has since successfully led several complex transplants, including Haplo-identical and Matched Unrelated Donor (MUD) procedures — setting new benchmarks in hematology and transplant medicine in Andhra Pradesh.
